Whalehead

Whalehead is situated on a beautiful 3-mile strand of large, windswept dunes and a wide, inviting beach. It's just a short drive to historic areas, including Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Whalehead Club and Corolla Village, as well as local shops, restaurants, water sports, movie theater and grocery store. Lifeguards generally are located mid-way at the Bonita Drive beach access and at the north end of Whalehead at the Shad Street beach access. Five parking areas are located on Whalehead Drive (the middle road running north / south) at these intersecting cross streets (running east / west): Shad, Sturgeon, Perch, Bonito and Sailfish.
